Welcome to Santa Rosa Middle School! |
A Message from the Principal... Our fourth and final quarter is upon us, with a full calendar of events planned for all of our students. Maintaining a strong academic focus all the way to the finish line is our priority, while still enriching our students’ school experience with extra-curricular and enrichment activities. Yahoo! It doesn’t get any better than this! STAR testing is scheduled for April 10 through April 20. Please make every effort to be sure your students come to school every day during this testing period. Please also join our efforts in conveying respect for this process. Individual scores are important to students, affecting placement in classes next year. As we all know, every student’s score is important for our school. We have been working hard all year to assure that our students are prepared to do their best on these exams. You can help by making sure students get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast every day of testing. We also encourage parents to send healthy snacks to school. Most importantly, please reinforce respect for this process, encouraging your students to try their very best. Spring plans at school include: track and field, after school soccer, 7th grade field trips to Armstrong’s Woods, 7th grade end-of-year field day, 8th grade dinner dance, and 8th grade end-of-year picnic. We all thank our PFSO for their generous and constant support, as we continue to work together to provide these special experiences for our students. We also want to thank Schools Plus for their generous donation of $6,500.00 to support the arts and athletics at our school. This money goes a long way, purchasing athletic uniforms and equipment, and materials and supplies to support the arts for our students. All of our students benefit from the hard work and donations of everyone who supports Schools Plus. Please feel free to call me or email me, sharing any thoughts or concerns.
